Let's be honest This is what we meant when we said a few things were going to suck and feel a bit tiring 🙀

Getting up to speed with the tools and systems we use to be productive can feel like a chore but we've done our very best to break things down for you to make it suck less 🤩

We promise it'll be worth the effort, so hang in there! Please don't hesitate to reach out to your onboarding POC (Prachi Patel, Katia Gass, or Mariana Aguiar) if things don't go according to plan, and they would be happy to help in the best way possible.

Before you dive in - make sure you've downloaded your browser of choice (e.g. Chrome, Firefox), as you'll be installing a bunch of extensions along the way.

Task 1

Set up your Coventry Gmail (aula.ac.uk) ✉️ Spoiler alert: This will likely take you 15 mins!

You're already logged in so the next steps are for you to please go to settings: ↪ Enable shortcuts ↪ Enable undo send ↪ Set default to ‘reply all’ (if you want)

Task 2

Set up 2-factor authentication on your Google account 🔒  Spoiler alert: 5 mins should be enough to complete this task. Celebrate with a snack once you're done :)

Before you do anything else, make sure you're logged in and that you have downloaded the Gmail app on your phone. This is important since you'll use your Google account to sign in to many other accounts.
